Australia's Most Popular Dental Software Now Based on Mimer SQL

Australia's largest dental office software provider, Oasis Software, is using Mimer SQL as the core database system for their Practice Management Enterprise Edition officially released March 1st 2002.

The Oasis system consists of a suite of application modules designed to meet the needs of the busy dental office. Oasis controls all aspects of the dental practice – from the moment the patient telephones for an appointment through to treatment completion and follow up. The suite includes patient records, appointment scheduling, accounts, clinical diagnosis and integrated digital radiography and imaging.

Noel Morley, Software Development Manager for Oasis Software Australia notes "Our application is extremely complex, it took us about 6 months to convert our software over to Mimer SQL but it's been well worth it. The Oasis/Mimer solution is based on a dedicated server architecture using Win2000/NT as the operating system. The database is online 24/7 with the system offering integrated database recovery and forward logging in the event of hardware failure. Tape backups are scheduled overnight.
